We name the bottlenecks explicitly and distinguish between what the employee can influence themselves and what requires an adjustment by the employer. This tells you which ergonomic and which person-related measures are needed. Bottlenecks in the working conditions or in the available aids are reported and explained.<\/p>\n<p>Where possible, we implement simple adjustments straight away and give practical instruction. This takes the form of training on the job: we practise favourable working habits at the employee's own workplace, such as efficient use of muscles, less strain on joints and variation in postures. Where relevant, this also covers building up work capacity, with practical tips to do so step by step. We discuss with the employee how he or she will actually apply the advice and exercises, so that they become a routine. The UWV does not reimburse the assessment.<\/p>\n<p>What the UWV can reimburse are the adjustments that follow from the assessment: a necessary adjustment of the workplace, the purchase of necessary aids and the necessary adaptation and fitting-out of the business premises. Generally customary adjustments are excluded. The employer applies for that reimbursement; for adapted furniture the employee does so themselves.
