Workplace assessment Amsterdam

Looking for an expert workplace assessment in the Amsterdam region? We are happy to help!

With a workplace assessment we make sure you gain insight into the possible causes of complaints and into practical solutions. This helps not only to reduce complaints, but also to prevent sickness absence.

Prolonged screen work, poor working postures and physical workload increase the risk of complaints and absence. From the Amsterdam region, we map all key factors during a workplace assessment to tackle health risks at the source. This looks at working conditions, working posture and working behaviour.

The result is that the employee knows what options there are to exert their own influence on the complaints. It also becomes clear what is needed to optimise the working conditions. This gives both the employee and the organisation insight into which measures contribute to sustainable employability and a healthy working environment.

How does a workplace assessment work?

  1. Introductory meeting and inventory of complaints
    • During the intake with the employee (and those involved) we clearly map the complaints and the request for help.
  2. Analysis of working habits and workplace
    • We analyse the employee's working habits, work organisation and working conditions.
    • Improving the workplace layout
      • Based on the analysis, we adjust the workplace layout immediately where possible, so that the workplace better meets the employee's needs.
    • Body awareness, posture and movement
      • We give direct feedback and correction on posture and behaviour. Employees learn efficient movement behaviour to reduce the load on muscles and joints and to encourage variation in postures.
    • Report with clear advice
      • The results are reported to both employer and employee. The report contains person-centred advice, including photos of the working posture and settings, bottlenecks and concrete solutions.
    • Evaluation and follow-up
      • To assess the effectiveness of the measures, we schedule an evaluation. This ensures the improvements are embedded for the long term.

    FAQ

What are the results of a workplace assessment?

A workplace assessment increases vitality in the workplace, supports return to work and reduces sickness absence. Both employer and employee gain insight into risks and learn which ergonomic and behavioural measures matter. Practical information helps to reduce or prevent work-related complaints caused by physical workload and poor posture.

What are the (medical) indications for a workplace assessment?

The main (medical) indications for a workplace assessment are:

    • Health complaints that may be work-related, such as back complaints, RSI complaints or stress.
    • Adjustments needed after an illness or accident in order to resume work safely.
    • Preventive assessment for high-risk tasks or working conditions.

Are there specific workplace assessments for different sectors such as working from home, vehicles, healthcare and industry?

Yes, there are specific workplace assessments per sector, adapted to the unique needs of each sector. We identify the technical, organisational and personal measures that can be taken.

Can a workplace assessment also be carried out online?

Workplace assessments for screen work can take place online. This requires good preparation and the option of a camera set-up or supplying images.

If an online assessment is not sufficient, an on-site workplace visit follows.

When do you give individual training in the workplace?

When a workplace assessment is not effective enough and the employee's posture and movement behaviour appear to be the cause of persistent complaints, individual training is given in the workplace. The employee learns optimal working techniques and methods. The manager is involved in actions to prevent recurring health problems.

What is the difference between a workplace assessment and workplace advice?

Preventive workplace assessments are an important way to limit health risks in the workplace. We do this by informing employees (individually or in groups) about possible risks and how to prevent them. We also give individual instruction, tailored to the specific tasks and circumstances of employees.
A preventive workplace assessment is also called a workplace check or workplace advice.
