Employee health check

To measure is to know!

A health check provides valuable insights into the health and vitality aspects for both the individual employee and the organisation as a whole.

What is a health check?

A health check maps the overall health and employability of employees. The health check consists of two parts: a questionnaire and a physical examination.

The online questionnaire covers various aspects of lifestyle, such as exercise, smoking, alcohol use, nutrition and relaxation. If desired, this questionnaire can be extended to include other health and employability factors, such as physical workload, need for recovery and work ability.

After completing the questionnaire, a physical examination follows. Various measurements are taken, such as height, weight, body fat percentage, waist circumference, BMI, cardiovascular risk profile, blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol. Depending on your needs, additional physical tests can be added, such as a functional movement screen, sit and reach, grip strength and the Harvard step test.

All these results are then discussed with the participant and recorded. This gives a complete picture of the employee’s overall health and employability.

With these insights, targeted advice and interventions can be used to optimise health and productivity.

The health check gives employers and employees valuable information for improving wellbeing, health and employability within the organisation. By proactively investing in prevention and health promotion, organisations can sustainably increase the vitality and productivity of their employees.

What are the follow-up options?

After a health check, various follow-up steps are possible to improve the health and wellbeing of employees:

  • Employability coaching
This coaching focuses on topics such as nutrition, exercise, behaviour change, sleep, relaxation, stress, vitality and work-life balance.
  • Workshops and training
Think of topics such as exercise, smoking, alcohol, nutrition and relaxation.
  • Co-developing a vitality policy and a Plan of Action.

What is the result?

For the participant
The health check gives the participant a very clear picture of their current health. Participants receive a personal report explaining the various measurements and personal tips they can apply straight away.

For the organisation
For the organisation, the health check gives an overview of the physical health of employees. The organisation also gains insight into employees’ readiness to change their lifestyle. Based on the results, the organisation can draw up recommendations and a plan of action to improve the health of employees.
